The Umberto Veronesi Foundation was founded in 2003, intending to
foster scientific research through the allocating of research grants
to doctors and researchers and through support to very high-profile projects.
The promoters of these initiatives are scientists (among them 6
Nobel Prize laureates, who are also part of the Honorary Committee),
whose action is acknowledged at the international level.
This is an ambitious project, which calls upon the worlds of education,
research (organisations both public and private) and information to
achieve its goals.

CAPRARI is supporting the  “LAL project  - Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia”, main cause of childhood cancer and  the most frequent reason of death.
The research project aims to understand  the  molecular mechanism of this disease and to transfer the  obtained results to the development of new medicines.
